Hello Games founder Sean Murray took to Twitter to offer suggestions on getting the game to run better, the first being to update to the latest AMD and Nvidia drivers. Turning anti-aliasing on lowered the game to 20fps and key re-bindings weren't being saved. The same is being said by users over on GOG.com, where one user said he was experiencing "horrible pop-in, constant hitching, and terribly inconsistent frame-rate" running the game with a GeForce GTX 980ti. Field of view issues are being experienced, and it seems no matter which setting is used, the game is failing to run smoothly. Many users are reporting the game crashes once past the loading screen or when alt-tabbing, it suffers from severe stuttering, and others report performance issues when trying to lock the game at 30fps. When logging into Steam to check out the game's page, we noticed plenty of red in the user reviews section. PC users seem to be having some issues with No Man's Sky, which was released at 1pm ET.
